Ken Somé preparing a dish during dinner

About Casa Somé

It began with
a gesture of gratitude.

One small dinner in Costa Rica revealed something much bigger: when a table is cared for, strangers stop feeling quite so strange.

One night simply clicked.

Ken and his wife wanted to thank the person who had helped them build a life in Costa Rica. They invited their realtor and her family to an intimate dinner: good food, wine poured slowly and enough time to stay.

That night, laughter changed the temperature of the room. Conversation grew more honest, and people who had barely known one another began to feel familiar. A question emerged that would become Casa Somé: what if we created this kind of table on purpose?

Ken Somé,
a host by conviction.

For years, Ken measured life by the markers that usually signal success: titles, promotions, access and recognition. A professional loss and the death of his grandfather forced him to face an uncomfortable truth: you can build a life that looks complete and still leave no room to live it.

Casa Somé comes from the way he learned to move differently. Less hurry. More presence. A table where no one needs to prove who they are, and where hospitality becomes a form of attention.

Eat well, drink slowly, stay present. Hopefully you leave with a full belly and a heart that feels a little fuller too.
